Of all the people to pick, you chooses this Samaritan woman to reveal yourself as the Messiah.
Lord, I just wonder why this woman especially?
At the well of Jacob we see the women gathered to get the water from the well and they used to interchange telling the news, perhaps talking about this Samaritan woman.
Sometimes they ignored her or made fun of her, as she made same mistake over and over again in marrying and divorcing easily
what would we say about a woman who has been married to a five different men and is currently living with a man who is not her husband? Are you able to associate with this kind of people?
God please tell me why you met her, sure you know everything about her and why did she come to the well in the middle of the day when it is hottest? She fled from the people because she is a sinner and immoral, I don’t know as well why she accepted to talk to you although you are a strange traveler and you don’t have bucket or rope. Your disciples and I amazed from you that you was talking to this woman. Merely speaking to her was disgrace you our Lord Jesus.
Jesus, you risk your reputation talking to this woman?
This is an imaginable argument between Jesus and one of his disciples
I have food to eat that you do not know about, Jesus replied.
Food!! So the disciples were saying to one another, “No one brought Him anything to eat, did he?
Jesus continue his talking, no no, I talk about another kind of food, my food is to do the will of Him who sent me and to accomplish His work.
Look to what happened to her, she completely changed and her immediate influence had far-reaching results for good. She did not let her bad reputation keep her silent. She had wonderful news, and she was
determined to share it! Some people immediately believed in me because of her report. Others believed because her influence reached beyond that report. Because of her, i was invited to stay there. And while there, i taught those who did not at first believe.
This imaginable conversation has been ended, but we have to focus on the good lessons we can learn from this Samaritan woman?
It is never too late to make a change in our lives. No matter how sinfully we have lived in the past, we can change our behavior and begin to spread good influence in the world.
Let us learn from the Samaritan woman, and do all that we can to bring the good news of the gospel to other people.
Do not be silent about the Savior. Tell other people what you know about Him. Study with them from the Bible, and let God’s word convince them of His will.
Our influence reaches farther than we may think. The people we influence will influence others.
He can use each one of us if we just let Him.
